Over to me then, As most of you will know the drives have been delivered and we have started fitting them, have had a few problems but the chaps from MDS at Hamble Point have been very helpful, am going down tomorrow to check up on progress. Pirtex have done the hoses and we have gone for the "Goodrich" type of hose but the good thing is its plastic coated so no nasty metal splinters Will take some pickies and see if I can get them posted tomorrow..

Got some goodies from the States this week, so will read up on the fitting instructions and have a go at fixing it tomorrow, also going to have another bracket made up so we can use the GPS in the front of the boat when we are not racing

Hi Tim, Not yet, paid a very brief visit on Sunday, one engine is fully fitted the other is kinda half fitted, hopefully will be fully fitted this week Tony H recons there is three weeks work left to finish the boat so Cowes is def out of the window which is a shame, but I suppose when you consider I've only had her for a year and it took Blufin nearly 2 yrs to complete the Midas it not too bad going. We will be at Cowes just not racing

Things not looking good for the South Coast Marathon, Tony Fiddy was at the boat today and recons our best bet is to shelve everything until next year....... Get the engines fitted then take them out take off the heads and have a good look over them, check and double check everything that has been done to make doubly sure that when she sets to sea everything works as It should - and to be honest I’m inclined to agree. Its been a steep learning curve for me, but over the winter we can spend weekends getting it right rather than looking like fools on the start line (if we even got there) - to be very honest it's a bitter pill to swallow, I wanted so much to race this year and feel like I have let everybody down who has offered support and worked on her this year, the Hype I generated was aimed at getting sponsorship and I achieved it, which in this current climate is to be proud of, Sarah Donohue was on board for Cowes and she brings a lot of TV coverage etc etc with her, and more than that Sarah has been a great supporter of this project for which I thank her. Double Two Limited and Concord Lifting Equipment along with XL Print in Portsmouth have been great, thank you lets hope we can rekindle the same relationship next year... To Budweiser. Splitpin and Delta28 Cheers Lads lets keep in touch and the trip on the boat will be next year instead of this lol
Keep watching this space, I am down but not beaten and "Double 2 Shirts" will Race Again...
