as a result of finding my boat a new owner to restore her l thought l would post some old stuff. Shes going to get back in water in 2011

l had her for 18 years but overseas work never allowed me the time to finsih this project

She is now in the right hands for the job

42ft, all welded aluminium, 'dynaplane stepped hull' Rolls Royce Gnome gas turbine, single screw. Originally built in 1979 by british hovercraft corp as a BP research project (kindov)

official top speed recorde 87mph.....un official 103mph

but still a research work in progress even when she gets back on the water......'Dynaplane'.....'vorsprung durch technic'

Hi to all

l let pacesetter go for a song on the basis that l thought there were honorable intentions to fulfil the obligations of the transaction.......

A Mr Richard Knowles finally took charge of Pacesetter. A person of some repute in powerboat circles l came to understand

Pacesetter is supposedly on the Isle of Whight....supposedly being restored.

I say supposedly as Mr Knowles has not kept me informed of any progress since he aquired her

However, Pacesetters sale has agreed clauses.

If not restored in due time then l would have the option to reaquire her for the sale price...that on completion of a restoration l would have a seat in her participation of a Cowes classic run in 2012 and seat in leg of any entry to a subsequent round britain race that pacesetter might be entered for

The present lack of communication with Mr Knowles was due to his upset by my stated intentions to remove her from her place of previous storage not long after he aquired her. This came about as a result of the storage providers threatening to scrap her because she had not been moved by Mr Knowles in the agreed time after he aquired her from me. This threat of scrappage was serious enough to have meant that the agreed sale clauses would have been rendered impossible to apply

So....simple answer is that a Mr Richard Knowles aquired Pacesetter and l have no idea what has happened since then

All in all so far not a happy experience.....I do however hope that Mr Knowles will become aware of my feelings on the situation and reconsider his position

The terms regards his aquisition of Pacesetter still stand and l may yet persue them to full effect if thay are not upheld

I dont know whats happening to Pacesetter but l will be more than upset if nothing has happened and l am not informed about it in accordance with the agreement

All sounds like a sad state of affairs - who is Richard Knowles anyway?
